BIG NEWS
It just figures that as soon as Cheryl & I map out HOW to get
to WAG, that there's MAJOR resurfacing/construction work
going on on Rt. 290, the major highway going through Worcester.
Fear not. I don't think the construction will have as much of an
impact on getting to WAG as it at first seemed. MANY onramps
and exit ramps will be closed, detours will be in effect...
It LOOKS like the onramps from 146 and from the Mass Pike in Auburn
will still be OPEN. AND it looks like 290 can still be travelled upon to the
exits I've specified in the orginal directions...
ANY/EVERYONE coming from ANY DIRECTION...
PLEASE take heed to these NEW directions:
€ Take the Mass Pike / Rt. 90 to 495
€ NORTH on 495 to West 290
€ Exit 290 AFTER Main Street, Shrewsbury exit.
€ You'll see LOWES and TARGET and other big store
stuff on the right off the highway, take the exit
AFTER that big mall area
€ Take a LEFT at the end of the offramp at the traffic lights
€ Stay STRAIGHT on this street
€ At fork, continue straight
€ Look for HARLOW STREET on the right
€ Turn RIGHT onto Harlow, just BEFORE St. Bernard's Church
€ WAG is at the bottom of the hill, end of Harlow on RIGHT
€ Parking lot for WAG is just BEFORE the big factory building
(This is a slightly longer route around, but it will completely eliminate
ANY chance of hitting any of this construction)

¤ Mass Pike /Rt. 90 WEST to Auburn /Rt. 290 exit
¤ EAST on Rt. 290 through heart of Worcester
Exit at EXIT 17 - WARE/FRAMINGHAM, stay in MIDDLE lane at traffic light at the end of the offramp
¤ Immediately bear RIGHT, stay in the middle lane and stay following to the RIGHT, do not veer to the LEFT toward Salisbury Street. (Follow signs to get back ON 290 East, but you're not getting back on 290)
¤ In middle lane, follow Lincoln Street / Rt. 70 North, go under highway overpass, see Honey Farms convenient store on LEFT, Fallon Medical Ctr / Adcare Hospital on RIGHT, pass Catherine Street, Northampton Street on right
¤ Follow Lincoln street UP the hill, look for St. Bernard's Church on the left.
¤ WAG is at the very END of Harlow Street on the RIGHT.
¤ Parking lot just before the factory building.

¤ Go UP Harlow Street
¤ Take a LEFT onto Lincoln Street

¤ Harlow Street is on the RIGHT just before St. Bernard's Church. Turn RIGHT.
¤ WAG is at the very END of Harlow Street on the RIGHT.
¤ Parking lot just before the factory building.
THE WAY TO GET BACK HOME:
¤ Go UP Harlow Street
¤ Take a LEFT onto Lincoln Street
¤ At the fork, stay to the RIGHT

¤ Take 290 East (be careful not to stay in the right lane too long at first, because it immediately turns into an exit lane)

¤ Turn LEFT, but stay in the far right lane

¤ Look for signs for I-190 NORTH on LEFT
