Head to Boynton Park in Worcester!

(created November 8, 2009)

(Don't know where that is? Well, at first I was going to have YOU have to Google it, but when I Googled "Boynton Park Worcester", the maps weren't always all that helpful.)

- Head out 122 toward Paxton. Turn RIGHT at the LAST Mower Street you see on the right. If you pass by Sunnyhill on the left or see the "Welcome to Paxton" sign, you've gone too far.

- RIGHT at the fork, through the stone welcome pillar things into Boynton Park.

- PARK and now the fun begins.

1) Face toward the big green map of the park. As you stand in front of it, behind and to the right you will see a very obvious trailmarking sign.

2) Approach the sign and stand on the "C"-shaped stone formation and face directly toward the trailmarking sign.

3) Lots of fallen trees, lots of storm destruction, but at about your 4:00, you'll see another stone fireplace-like formation.

4) Standing in the depths of the fireplace, looking toward the back wall of the fireplace, you'll see a meeting of three close trees and one solitary bigger, darker barked tree to their right. Carefully make your way to the tree by itself.

5) Behind this solitary tree, you'll find that it has a large outstretched mossy trunk / root / foot. Line the side of your right foot up with this with your back to the tree.

6) 8 paces, heel-to-toe. slightly forward, 11 o'clock-ish - ROCK

7) 7 more, same direction - bigger ROCK

8) On the less mossy side is your reward.

This is my first letterboxing experiment / project. I didn't have a rubberstamp, so I'm leaving my creative business card inside the treasure box so you can attach that into your log book.

BRING a pen, pencil, marker, SOMETHING TO WRITE / DRAW with so you can add to my log book in the treasure box. Please tell me your name, e-mail, the date you found the box, anything else you want to tell me.

I also included 10 FREE Action Geek metal pins for the first people who find this treasure box. When they run out, maybe I'll add more.

Please let me know how this works out for you!
